*DIRECTV MÁS is the ultimate television experience, offering full, premium programming packages in both Spanish and English. Subscribers have access to over 35 Spanish Language channels in addition to the 200+ English Channels that are available through DIRECTV. Commercial insertions are available on 12 Spanish Networks and are sold on a cluster level, which means that an advertiser buys a spot on the MÁS cluster and it then runs across all the networks that allow insertion within the cluster. The spots all run at approximately the same time in a road block fashion. Advertisers can not buy the individual networks within the cluster.

    Providing up to 350 hours of tournament coverage and more than 100 matches, the French Open Experience gives customers first class treatment to one of the most prestigious tournaments in tennis.   • MLB Extra Innings Mix

    Viewers can follow their favorite team no matter where they live with up to 80 out-of-market games a week. Game Mix allows viewers to see up to eight games on one screen or select any one of them to see full screen action.

  • The Masters Experience

    The Masters Experience includes the Mix Channel, Top 5 Leaders, Leaderboard, Scoreboard, and The Masters Trivia Game. The Masters Mix includes live coverage from ESPN and CBS sports and has a “Featured Group” channel that follows a select group of players during all four rounds on four separate channels at the same time. Top 5 Leaders and the Leaderboard show real-time scores, while the Scorecard keeps track of the fan’s favorite golfers, and the Masters Trivia Game puts the fan to the test.

  • U.S. Open Golf Experience

    The U.S. Open Golf Experience from Pebble Beach – in partnership with NBC and ESPN, DIRECTV provides customers with three bonus channels in addition to the national broadcast. Not only do customers get extra coverage – all in crystal-clear HD – they can also watch the exclusive Mix Channel with four channels at the same time. Other interactive features that are part of the U.S. Open Golf Experience include a real-time leaderboard, individual scorecards, Top5 Leaders scores, The U.S. Open Golf Preview and reviews, and The U.S. Open Golf Trivia Game.

  • Open Championship Golf Experience

    Taking place at the legendary Old Course at Royal St. Andrews, The Open Championship Golf Experience includes a 4 cell mix channel with the network feed plus 3 additional bonus channels of course coverage. In addition, customers can enjoy unique interactive features such as Top 5 Leaders - a convenient view of the top 5 current scores against par. Leaderboard provides information on all golfers in the field. Scorecard provides hole-by-hole stats for each player in the field both for current rounds and previous rounds. Finally customers have access to a 10 question trivia quiz focusing on the history of the event. All offerings will be in both SD and HD.

Direct Response

Direct Response Advertising consists of two components, short form and long form. Short form units range from :15 to :60 seconds in length. Long Form units are 30 minutes in length. All Direct Response ads need to have a method of response; either an 800 number and/or a web address.

Short Form and Long Form Direct Response

DIRECTV is the destination for Short Form and Long Form Advertising Sales. There are many options for short form agencies and advertisers. These include our 9 demographically targeted clusters, live sporting events, Regional Sports and interactive advertising. We accept :15, :30, and :60 second units on all clusters and live sports.

Our Long Form Advertising Sales opportunities consist of twenty one channels that are dedicated to infomercials, live shopping and programming which can be viewed in all DIRECTV residential households. Time is sold in blocks ranging from a ½ hour to a full 24/7 branded channel. Packages can be customized based on a clients needs.

DIRECTV continues to provide subscribers with distinctive and exclusive programming with the premiere of one of television’s most heralded series, The Wire, on The 101 Network. Never before available in HD, all five seasons of the Peabody Award-winning series will air uncut and commercial free for the first time since its run on HBO, compliments of DIRECTV. Set in the city of Baltimore, The Wire is a brilliant portrayal of the decaying infrastructure of American urban life. With each season focusing on a different facet of the city (the drug trade, the port, city government and bureaucracy, the school system and the print news media), The Wire is an uncommonly deep exploration of sociopolitical themes, examining the effect these institutions have on the inhabitants of the city. Friday Night Lights

Fans are looking forward to the 5th and final season to air Fall 2010, exclusively on The 101® Network. Hailed as one of the Top-10 shows by numerous publications such as Time magazine, Entertainment Weekly and the New York Times, "Friday Night Lights" also has been honored as an American Film Institute (AFI) Television Program of the Year, and received a Peabody Award and Emmy. Underbelly

The award-winning Australian miniseries trilogy is now making its US premiere on The 101® Network. Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities is loosely based on real events that stemmed from the drug trade in New South Wales from 1976 to 1987; Underbelly: The Golden Mile (Fall 2010) is set in Kings Cross in 1988 to 1999, and tells the story of the excesses and collapse of the drug empire and the chaos that followed, seen through the eyes of some of the most sexy, charming, corrupt and deadly people of the time; and Underbelly: War on the Streets (2011) retells the real events of the gangland war in Melbourne that took place between 1995 and 2004.

Brotherhood
Brotherhood

Set in a neighborhood in Providence, Rhode Island, the series revolves around the Irish-American Caffee brothers. Tommy is a local politician and Michael is a professional criminal involved with New England’s Irish Mob. The series was inspired by real-life Irish American brothers from the Irish neighborhood of South Boston: James “Whitey” Bulger, Jr., a gangster who has been on the F.B.I.’s Most Wanted List as a fugitive from justice, and Senator William Bulger, a powerful state politician who was President of the Massachusetts Senate and later president of the University of Massachusetts higher educational system.

The 101® Network brings you Farm Aid 2010, the 25th annual live concert which headlines Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews. Since its inception in 1985, Farm Aid has attracted a variety of major artists to perform in support of raising funds to keep family farmers in business. Previous years featured Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Sheryl Crow, Bon Jovi, The Allman Brothers and Counting Crows.
